How to forge forward in the time of crisis

29.12.2023
Yaffa Abadi - Founder @Abadi Brands

First thing first: take care of your own health. It is a common thread among all these narratives is the unwavering commitment these leaders have to their internal teams. Before addressing business continuity or impacting the broader community, every founder ensured the well-being of their teams.

Keep your stakeholders informed

Another shared theme was the emphasis put on keeping stakeholders informed. Updating global employees, investors, and customers on the situation on the ground ensured a level of understanding, transparency, and stability.

Move forward with business, but maintain empathy

The CEOs we spoke to acknowledged the dual importance of business continuity on both micro and macro scales – from keeping employees productive to ensuring the business thrives in challenging times. The responsibility of maintaining our country's economy is felt deeply. But through pushing forward, they maintained an understanding of the collective grief we are all going through, ensuring progress is made without leaving empathy behind.

Champion your team

Without fail, each founder, CEO, and Partner called out their team for their strength and abilities. The way their teammates put in extra time and energy to compensate for those in reserves, and pulled together to speed up operations was never taken for granted.

Be open to collaborateThe high-tech ecosystem is naturally a competitive one. We are all competing for space, for customers, for employees. Yet in times of crisis, these ‘natural competitors’ put this aside to partner up with for a higher cause.

Our resilience is astounding, and our optimism is almost unnaturalI could go on and on with his list, the jewels gathered from this series see no end. But the final gem I want to share is the abundant resilience and optimism every person we interviewed displayed. On the backdrop of the most vile period we face in our country, words of courage and faith in our country’s future overflowed.
